July 3, 2025

On Saturday 21 June, young participants in the ‘Dinem Junts’ programme joined the 2024–2025 closing celebration, held at the Mar Bella Sports Complex in Barcelona under the slogan “Move for Health”.

The event brought together 235 adolescents who took part in sports activities in a festive and inclusive atmosphere. A wide range of disciplines — including volleyball, football, korfball, spiriball, kin-ball, athletics challenges, skateboarding, and crossfit-style activities — encouraged an active lifestyle and team spirit among all attendees.

This gathering was the culmination of educational work carried out during the final term of the academic year, where the participating organisations placed special emphasis on physical activity and sport. The learning experience complemented the programme’s usual focus on promoting healthy habits such as balanced nutrition, hygiene, rest, and emotional wellbeing.

As part of the commitment to encouraging healthy eating and nutritional awareness among young people, the event included a balanced breakfast, a nutritious lunch, and fresh fruit available throughout the day.

A celebration to strengthen connections

Beyond physical activity, the day also promoted core values such as effort, respect and teamwork — all essential, both in sport and in the everyday lives of adolescents. The event also reinforced the participants' sense of belonging to the ‘Dinem Junts’ programme, which offers young people a safe space to grow, share and build habits that improve their health and wellbeing.

Dra. Anna Veiga, Director of Fundación Probitas, emphasised that “this fun and engaging day has had a very positive impact on the young people in ‘Dinem Junts’, as it helps raise awareness of the importance of healthy habits while also encouraging team spirit and group cohesion”.

Dra Veiga, who handed out sports equipment kits to each group, also expressed her appreciation to everyone involved. “As well as thanking all the young participants, I want to acknowledge the educators and professionals of ‘Dinem Junts’ for their dedication and commitment to the future of these young people.”

All participants joined the final zumba dance in Mar Bella beach, which brought a vibrant close to a day full of surprises, activities, and emotions.
