Dr Alejandra de Elías recounts her stay at Hospital Nossa Senhora da Paz in Cubal (Angola), where she collaborated on the epidemiological mapping of these two parasitic diseases. Knowing how many people are infected and where they live is the first step towards eliminating both diseases in the region.
