Meraki
This family mentoring program provides guidance and support for vulnerable families with children that are being supported by local social services. It is aimed at families being supported by their local social services who have children in their care. A pilot program has started with 16 families in the Gironès regions of Catalonia. The role of the mentor family is to provide integral and personalized support and guidance for the mentee family to help them overcome challenges, meet their goals, and improve their quality of life.
Through the mentorship, they promote a healthy lifestyle, run activities focused on nutrition, physical activity, rest, and home economics. The program also provides the families with resources from their local area, promoting family bonds and healthy leisure activities.
