- In 2020, the foundation contributed to improving the health and well-being of 1,000 children at social risk in Badalona.
Club Joventut Badalona will continue to wear the Probitas Foundation logo on the official game shirt of all the club's teams during the 2021-22 season. Thus, the Penya will show the image of the foundation in Liga ACB and Eurocup (first men's team), Women's Challenge League (first women's team), as well as in the 50 teams that are part of the base basketball "verd-i-negre" (male, female, mixed, Fedamar Foundation and wheelchair basketball team).
In this way, the Joventut de Badalona continues to give visibility to the work of the Probitas Foundation to improve the health and well-being of vulnerable children. Specifically, throughout 2020, the social intervention of Probitas Foundation in collaboration with schools, social services, and entities in Badalona, contributed to improving the health and well-being of 1,000 children at social risk in this municipality.
The agreement materialized in a visit that brought together, on the central court of the Olimpic, the team of the Probitas Foundation - headed by Dr. Anna Veiga, general director of the entity - with the president of the Joventut Club de Badalona, Juan Antonio Morales.
Dr. Anna Veiga highlights that "the sensitivity of La Penya helps us to have more visibility to add donors and thus give our support to more and more minors. Through the RAI program, we have already reached more than 32,000 children in primary and secondary school, allowing them to enjoy activities focused on promoting balanced diet, physical activity, hygiene, emotional well-being and rest".
As part of the RAI program, one of the main initiatives of the foundation is Twin Families, which promotes the twinning of a family that has not been affected by the current socioeconomic crisis with a vulnerable one, in order to improve the development opportunities of children from the family nucleus at social risk. This covers part of the 2,000 dining grants that Probitas Foundation provides for the 2021-22 academic year, which guarantee that these children have a healthy meal a day in a safe socio-educational environment, where they can relate and laying the foundations to establish healthy lifestyle habits, while reducing school absenteeism.
