Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees is the primary body that represents the foundation and is made up of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 15 volunteers who are committed to the foundation’s mission. The Board of Trustees has to ensure that the foundation’s goals are fulfilled and ensure the good governance of the institution.

Núria Martín Barnés

Lawyer. Co-Founder of Osborne Clarke Spain. A specialist in company law and corporate governance with over 30 years of experience providing legal and business consultancy services. She is the Secretary of the Board of Directors at Grifols SA since 2015.

Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees since April 2020.

Bonaventura Clotet

He holds a Degree and PhD in Medicine from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). Professor of Infectious Diseases and Immunity at UVIC-UCC. Specialist in infectious diseases and HIV. Head of the IrsiCaixa HIV/AIDS Research Institute. Regional Clinical Director of Infectious Diseases and International Health at the Catalan Health Institute. Found and Chairman of the Lluita Contra les Infeccions Foundation.

Board Member since November 2022.

Enrique Grifols Roura

He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), specializing in Gynecology and Obstetrics. With extensive experience as a gynecologist in the public sector at the Hospital del Mar and the Institut Català de la Salut (ICS), and in the private sector in the Clinica Nostra Senyora del Pilar. He has also worked as a professor on the Gynecology and Obstetrics internship program at the Hospital del Mar teaching unit of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB)

Oriol Bota i Arqué

He holds a degree in Business Management and Administration and an MBA from ESADE. Head of the Obra Social Sant Joan de Déu . Member of the Coop57 technical committee, which aims to promote ethical finance to support social economics, and an external consultant for third-sector institutions. Representative of the Orden de San Juan de Dios- Provincia San Rafael.

Antonio Páez Regadera

A doctor specialized in Hematology and Hemotherapy with extensive healthcare experience at Hospital Sagrat Cor, Hospital Clínic in Barcelona, and the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. In 2004, he joined Grifols and is currently the company’s Vice-President of Scientific & Medical Affairs.

María Montehermoso Llubera

Degree in Law from ESADE Business & Law School, Barcelona. A senior lawyer at Osborne and Clarke Spain since May 2016, primarily operating in Commercial Law and Company Law, working in corporate governance for both multinational firms and listed companies.
