Pau Gasol has attended an event organized by Probitas Foundation with 40 teenagers from IES Bellulla and Institut Domus d'Olivet who attend daily to Dinem Junts in Canovelles with the aim of inspiring them to follow a healthy lifestyle. Two years ago, the World Health Organisation (WHO) established January the 30th as the World Neglected Tropical Diseases Day (NTDs). NTDs bring together a group of diseases with common characteristics under the same umbrella: they are debilitating, frequently chronic, and traditionally ignored by governments, researchers, donors, and society in general because they affect the poorest populations (hence their name "neglected care"). With all the activities that are carried out on a planetary level, the objective of controlling, eliminating and eradicating these diseases is pursued, in order to improve the well-being and future expectations of the people who suffer from them.

In November 2022, Probitas Foundation completed the refurbishment project of the Leopoldo Martínez Hospital, in the province of Hato Mayor in the Dominican Republic, promoted together with Save the Children as part of our Global Laboratory Initiative (GLI) program. With an investment of € 200,000, we were able to refurbish the infrastructure and provide it with new equipment and laboratory material, as well as training local talent for the proper operation of the equipment. In this way, in line with GLI’s objective, we have improved access to quality health care for more than 20,000 people from isolated and remote populations.

Fundación Probitas has taken up the annual meeting with educators from 13 different organizations involved in the implementation of the Comemos Juntos! programme in 16 city councils, after two years of absence due to the pandemic. The aim of the meeting was to share reflections and learning to continue improving the educational intervention with the young people who participate in the programme. In addition, the organizations shared experiences and lessons learned from the difficult situation experienced during the pandemic, which led to the search for new strategies and tools to be able to continue offering support to adolescents at a particularly complicated time for the most vulnerable groups.
